Same Sex Marriage
The first ten minutes of CBS Evening News with Scott Peiley tonight was discussing the presidential candidate’s view on same sex marriage. If you didn’t know, Obama has recently changed his view on the issue. The four years he was president, he was against same sex marriage. With his wife, Michelle Obama’s opinion, Obama fully supports same sex marriage. Many say they won’t vote for him because their religious views on the topic. With many others saying the exact opposite: they will for sure vote for him because they fully support same sex marriage. Here’s my opinion: HE’S RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION PEOPLE! Of course Obama is going to pancake his view. This isn’t the first time Obama has ever flip-flopped his view, nor is it the first for any president running for re-election. It’s as easy as this:
More people on board with Obama’s opinion=More votes for President Barrack Hussein Obama II.
It’s literally that obvious to notice. I honestly believe that with such a touchy and especially, moral subject like same sex marriage, you can’t keep flip flopping and changing your opinion. Either you are for or against same sex marriage. Swing states such as California are what the candidates need to focus their attention on and I don’t think this one issue alone will decide who are next president will be. Issues such as foreign policy and our current economic crisis is what our votes should be based on. That being said, I solely believe that candidate Mitt Romney should be president. You can have your opinions, but I believe that Romney is the most honest candidate of them all. Especially now that former candidate Rick Santorum endorses Romney. When I first stated following the 2012 Elections back in October of 2011, the first thing that pulled my vote towards Romney was his tax returns. As many of you know, I am LDS (the same religion as Romney). His honesty definitely showed through and has since proved to me that he deserves to be the next president (Other religious views will not be discussed). I know politicians are stereotyped as “liars,” but voting for Romney, I believe his integrity and experience will pull the United States through. Now that I’ve wasted ten minutes writing this, I will return back to my Friends episode. *Shuts laptop.*
